This is an Artrage – Wacom digital portrait of mine created from scratch (from memory and self-visualizat­ion). The inspiration for this work came from a charcoal sketch that I did of a friend and student of mine. Though it is painted with expressive, unblended brushstrokes, the composition, lighting and setting is very much done in a neo-classical manner. The model here is in Abaaya and in a translucent veil, in a relaxing mood, turns her head slightly and makes an eye contact. My goal was to capture the mood at that moment.
