Download Magazines

As more and more people jump on the broadband wagon, the possibility of "download magazines" has become a reality. These magazines are distributed over the internet in PDF files that can range from 5 to 15 MB. The hours that it would have taken you to download these files a few years ago have been reduced to a matter of seconds with a broadband connection.

What's the difference between these download magazines and their websites? In addition to the traditional print magazine format, you can select specific pages to print out and hang on your wall. The high quality format makes a hard copy much better looking than regular screen resolution images. Here are a few magazines that can be downloaded for free!

This India-based forum for CG artists is still in its infancy and growing exponentially. Their D-mag (ezine) has amazing tips for 3DS Max, painting photo realistic images with Photoshop and other software, as well as interviews with brilliant digital artists working on major projects around the world!

Some of the best vector artists in the world contribute to this blazing hot Jakarta-based D-mag. Since most of the graphic design world centers on Europe and America, it's a bit refreshing to see a larger number of highly talented artists from Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and more. In just its 8th issue, the magazine has grown from 24 pages of sexy content to 100+!

UK's Zoo Publishing has made D-mags their main business with the two titles above. The free versions have beautiful artwork, but for the in-depth how-to's and articles with leading industry figures, you'll have to dig deep into your wallet and pay the US$4 cover price! Thieves! (Just kidding)
