Feels like real paper
Based on decades of research into providing paper-like feel for artists, Wacom's pen technology combining high-resolution tablet sensor with a pressure sensitive pen translates into a electronic signature capture tool that feels like signing on real paper. Impress customers and gain their trust by offering a electronic signature tool that will allow their real natural signature to appear.
Biometric data - More than just a signature
Design to provide security systems with unique biometric data, the STU-500 provides an sophisticated hardware interface for software and systems developers. Tracking pressure data with its 512 levels of pressure sensitivite and handwriting acceleration and speed at each point of a person's signature, the STU-500 allows systems to verify that signatures don't just look the same, but were written in the same way.

Image mirroring
The STU-500 allows software developers to mirror windows on the PC in the STU-500's 5-inch screen for contract confirmation and writing signatures.

Simple connectivity
Just one USB connection provides power and transfers data to and from the STU-500. We have also provided connectivity for systems using a serial connection (Serial Kit including cable and AC adapter may be purchased separately).
Long product life
While resistive touch sensors will wear down over time, Wacom's electro-magnetic resonance sensor is embedded beneath the screen preventing wear and tear. Combine that with a batteryless pen, and once plugged in, the STU-500 will require little maintenance.
The Wacom LCD Signature Tablet STU-500 has been specially designed to capture electronic signatures for paperless and secure workflows or ePayment transactions at the POS (points of sale).
