- Improved processing of touch gestures to make them smoother and more responsive
- Touch gestures support for Google Earth
- Resolution of all known issues around fast logins, fast user switching, wake from sleep or use of computers with solid state memory.
- Improved preferences file handling and management.
- A number of smaller bug fixes and improvements.
General notes for all versions of Windows
- This driver supports the consumer tablets listed above. For concurrent use of a professional Wacom tablet, you need to install a separate professional driver, version 6.05 or later. These two drivers can be added or removed independently of each other.
- For users with Wacom tablet drivers older than v.5.05: Uninstall any Wacom tablet drivers older than v.5.05, restart and temporarily disable your antivirus software and Windows Defender (Vista & newer). Then install this new driver. After installation has been successfully completed, reenable your antivirus software and Windows Defender.
(To disable or enable Windows Defender, go to Start – All Programs – Windows Defender. Then select Tools – Options. Under Administrator options [at the very bottom], select or clear the Use Windows Defender check box, and then click Save. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.)
- To uninstall a driver, go to Start - Control Panels and select "Programs and Features" (Windows 7 & Vista) or "Add or Remove Programs" (XP). Find the entry for the Bamboo pen tablet driver in the list of applications, and then select the Uninstall button located at the top of the application list. Restart your computer before installing a new driver.
- To remove the preferences file and restore all default settings, open Start – (All) Programs – Pen Tablet – Tablet Preference File Utility. Then select to remove the preferences file(s). You must authenticate yourself as an administrator to be able to remove all users' preferences.
- On Windows 7 and Windows Vista, installation of the driver will activate the pen input functions available within the OS and Office 2007 (see www.wacom.com/vista/VistaPenExperience.pdf for details).
- The pen Flicks and Press-and-hold-to-right-click features are disabled in most graphics applications (all that use the Wintab API). This is a workaround to improve drawing performance in these applications when those features are on.
- There is no pressure sensitivity in Journal and other Vista Ink features when both Flicks and Press-and-hold-to-right-click are disabled in the Vista "Pen and Input Devices" control panel. This is a workaround for spurious double-clicks issued by Vista under that setting.
Notes for Windows 7 and Windows Vista
