| After you open up a photo, first,
make sure you save the file in a different name to prevent loosing
the original photo. Then, trace roughly around the face with the Lasso
Tool and make a selection. |

Once the selection is made, Copy & Paste the selection.
When applied, a new layer [layer 1] will automatically be added onto the
image.
| To make the background a solid color,
make sure the "canvas" is chosen, and select the entire
image by clicking [Ctrl]+A. Then fill the canvas using the Bucket
Tool. |

Resizing the object can easily be done with the Scale
function. By clicking the two check boxes at the bottom, the horizontal
and vertical scale will maintain the same ratio from the center
of the image.
Next, move the object using the Layer Adjuster tool, by dragging
the object upwards. |

Next, add another layer and
color in the clothes by using the Brush Tools. Get creative and use
several brushes ! Don't forget to make many layers...this will help
you make adjustments easily. |

Drag the "Face" layer (Layer1)
to go to the top of the layer list, and make the clothes complete. |

Follow the same steps again,
and draw & paint the hat. |
